F.M Papaz is a Greek-Australian writer, editor, educator, and translator living in Brooklyn, New York. Her poetry and translations have been published in literary magazines and anthologies across Australia and the United States, including Cordite Poetry Review, Wild Roof Journal & Five South, among others.
Her editorial experience includes three years as the Managing Editor of Milk Press, and previously a Lead Editor at Tabula Rasa and editor at The Writer’s Foundry Review, where she received her MFA & was a Barbara Germack Fellow (2024-2026).
She will teach an international poetry program, Translation as Travel, at the Ionion Center for Arts and Culture from July 18th to 24th, 2027.
Her work with the Poetry Society of New York supports its flagship event, the New York City Poetry Festival on Governors Island. With the non-profit, she also teaches immersive workshops, co-produces their Catskills Writing Retreat known as Poetry Camp, and is regularly commissioned to create typewriter poetry for clients such as VISA, the MET Opera, Brooklyn Museum, Pratt Institute and The Public Theater.
